According to TTR data, comparing the number of operations carried out this month with the same period last year, we see that the number of operations has increased by 40%, from 59 to 83.<\/span><\/address>\n

Among the largest deals closed this month were the sale of 11.86% of\u00a0YPF<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0by\u00a0Repso<\/span><\/a><\/span>l a\u00a0Morgan Standley<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0901.34M and the sale of SIIC de Paris by SIIC de Paris for a total of\u00a0Realia<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0French-style\u00a0Eurosic<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0for \u20ac559M.<\/span><\/p>\n

Most active sub-sectors by number of transactions<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The technology sector, with operations such as the acquisition of the Spanish company\u00a0Tapp<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0by\u00a0Flexiant,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0leads the list of the most active sectors, with 15 operations this month, 4 of which are cross-border operations.<\/span><\/p>\n

The technology sector was followed by the internet sector, with 14 deals in May, such as the acquisition by\u00a0Akamon\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0of 25% of\u00a0Xpinator<\/span><\/a><\/span>a studio headed by Zvika Alon, former CTO of 888.com.<\/span>
\nThe metal, steel and industrial production industry, where a total of 6 operations have been carried out this month, is third on the list. So far this year, 22 operations have already been carried out in the sector.<\/span>

Cross-border market<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

En lo referente al mercado ‘cross-border’, las empresas espa\u00f1olas contin\u00faan atrayendo el inter\u00e9s de Estados Unidos, que se sit\u00faa como pa\u00eds m\u00e1s activo con un total de seis operaciones, seguido de Pa\u00edses Bajos. Por su parte, Espa\u00f1a tambi\u00e9n ha realizado mergers and acquisitions<\/a> fuera de sus fronteras como en Colombia o en Estados Unidos, por un importe conjunto de 19,61 millones de euros.<\/span><\/p>\n
