The introduction of new technologies in the Cleantech sector, such as home automation, the internet of things or big data, has made it possible for investors and companies that were reluctant to invest in this sector to invest recently, such as\u00a0Google<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0that it has acquired\u00a0\u00a0Nets<\/span><\/span>by $3.200M. Cleantech TICS companies driven by venture capital<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Within \"cleantech tics\" companies, there are sectors that have gained particular strength thanks to the support of venture capital, such as applications that aim to reduce car pollution and all companies dedicated to the internet of things, which enable energy savings.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among the applications that aim to reduce pollution, we find companies that seek to reduce the use of vehicles in circulation, such as\u00a0Lyft,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0ride-sharing platform. Lyft has received six rounds of funding since its inception in 2007, the most recent of which was in April 2014, in which it\u00a0Coatue Management,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Third Point Ventures<\/span><\/a><\/span>Alibaba,\u00a0Andreessen Horowitz,<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0Mayfield Fundn\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/span>and the founding partners have raised $250M .<\/span><\/p>\n

In the field of the Internet of Things, we find companies seeking greater energy efficiency such as\u00a0Building robotics<\/span><\/a><\/span>software that optimises the temperature in the workplace. This American company, created in 2012, received last year 2013 a $1.10M round of funding from\u00a0Google Ventures<\/span><\/a><\/span>,\u00a0Claremont Creek Ventures<\/span><\/a><\/span>,\u00a0Formation 8<\/span><\/span>,\u00a0Red Swan<\/span><\/a><\/span>,\u00a0Navitas Capital<\/span><\/a>,\u00a0Dave Eisenberg,<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0Jeff Hammerbacher, Travis Putnam.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cleantech TICS investments in Spain<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In Spain there have also been several investments in the Cleantech sector.<\/span>
\nOptimitive<\/span><\/span>\u00a0a startup from the Basque Country, which develops artificial intelligence solutions to optimise energy efficiency in large industrial centres, has received a \u20ac1.4 million ($1.9 million) round of funding from\u00a0GGM Venture Capital<\/span><\/span><\/span>thanks to the Surge accelerator.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dexma<\/span><\/a><\/span>dedicated to Energy Management B2B, as a manufacturer of Energy Management Software for the Building, Tertiary and Industry markets, counts among its investors with\u00a0\u00a0Entrecanales Foundation<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0and Fides Group.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"The growing interest in the sector is leading to the creation of funds and networks such as,\u00a0Cleantech iNNNvest,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0a network for the materialisation of business opportunities between investors and financiers and the promoters of innovative business projects in the field of clean technologies. With the aim of making it easier for cleantech projects with potential to access financial resources and investors in an effective and efficient way, multiplying their chances of success,\" says Diego, an expert in alternative financing of the group.\u00a0Abra Invest.<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
