Healthcare systems companies have been the leading players since 2006, accounting for 45% of the sector's operations.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"One of the most recent operations in the sector has been that of\u00a0Citius Tech<\/span>The leading healthcare technology company, a global developer of healthcare software, has received in March 2014 a round<\/strong> of $120M led by\u00a0\u00a0General Atlantic<\/span><\/a><\/span>\"comments Diego Gutierrez, the group's alternative finance expert.\u00a0Abra Invest.<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Medical record systems, such as\u00a0Valant,\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0are in second place with 23% of operations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Valant is a Seattle-based software company that provides an electronic medical record for physicians. Since its founding in 2013, it has received 3 rounds of funding, most recently $748K led by\u00a0\u00a0Alliance of Algels.<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In Spain, this sector is also enjoying considerable success.A study\u00a0<\/span><\/span>The results of a study carried out by 6 Spanish health centres, including the Cl\u00ednic, show the positive return that the investment<\/strong>\u00a0 in ICT projects has in the healthcare field at the level of clinical quality and safety, as well as in economic terms, which can be quantified and measured.<\/span><\/p>\n

The round was led by\u00a0Idinvest Funds<\/span><\/span>,\u00a0Boehringer Ingelheim Venture Fund\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>and\u00a0Caixa Capital Risc<\/span><\/span>The venture capital manager of La Caixa, as well as the existing investors\u00a0Ysios Capital<\/span><\/a><\/span>which becomes the main shareholder, and\u00a0Axis.<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span>
