According to a study by Cb Insight<\/a> In recent years, there has been a significant increase in Series A funding rounds larger than $10M in the technology sector, while small and medium-sized rounds have remained constant.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"In Spain, in the last two years, there have been no transactions of this size. The market is oriented towards smaller deals, the 80% under 1 million euros. It is difficult to compete with American technology companies when it comes to technology at a global level,\" says Diego Gutierrez of\u00a0Abra Invest.<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Increase of 206% in Serious A Rounds greater than $10M.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Since 2009 there has been a considerable increase in the number of large Series A funding rounds in technology companies. As we can see in the graph, since 2010 the number of rounds has grown by 74%, if we compare with 2009, this percentage increases to 206%.<\/span><\/p>\n

Andreessen Horowitz and Accel Partners have been the main players on this stage.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Andreessen Horowitz<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0has participated in more than 25 such financing rounds over the past five years, including\u00a0Rap Genius<\/span><\/a><\/span>,\u00a0Mixpanel<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0Crowdtilt.<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span>
