Fortunately, the outlook for 2014 and beyond is improving with the emergence of\u00a0FOND-ICO Global\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/span>which aims to attract \u20ac3 billion over the next four years.<\/span><\/address>\n

Featured funds in 2013<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

According to data from\u00a0ASCRI,\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/span>1,346M was raised in 2013 as \"new funds\", of which \u20ac864M was application of funds<\/strong> 312m raised by private venture capital and the remainder (\u20ac170m) by national public operators.<\/span><\/p>\n

We can highlight the first closures of\u00a0Seaya Capital (<\/span><\/a><\/span>40M\u20ac), of\u00a0Axon Amerigo Ventures\u00a0<\/span><\/span>(\u20ac40m), of\u00a0Adara Ventures II,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0de\u00a0Inveready Venture<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0e\u00a0Inveready Biotech<\/span><\/a><\/span>of\u00a0Mediterranea Capital\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>and\u00a0Institut Catal\u00e1 de Finances<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0(20M\u20ac).<\/span><\/p>\n

FOND-ICO Global: hope for 2014 and beyond<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Although this figure is still very small, FOND-ICO Global's contribution to fundraising will start to be felt in 2014, with \u20ac189M having been awarded to 6 operators (3 expansion capital) through a tender process at the end of December:\u00a0Corpfin Capital Advisors<\/span><\/a>,<\/span>\u00a0Diana Capital<\/span>,<\/span><\/a>\u00a0Portobelo Capital Management\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0and 3 from Venture Capital Adara Ventures Partners II,\u00a0Ambar Capital<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0Sum Capital)<\/span><\/a><\/span>. The second tender is scheduled for the end of February and the next one for the summer. Fond-ICO Global aims to inject around \u20ac1.2 billion in Spanish Venture Capital between 2014 and 2017 in around 40 fund managers with a \"drag\" effect on other investors, estimated at another \u20ac1.8 billion.<\/span><\/p>\n

Announcement of new fund-raising<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
