Given the increasing interest in the mobile sector, and the large number of investments<\/strong> in 2013, we have sought to highlight some of the most important investors<\/strong> The most active venture capitalists in the sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

Andreessen Horowitz<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0leads the list of the investors<\/strong>In the past, most of the investments have been in early-stage companies, such as\u00a0Aviate<\/span><\/span>Propeller and\u00a0Red Hot Labs.<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Andreessen Horowitz is followed in the ranking of the largest investors according to CB insights by\u00a0SV Angel<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0500 startups<\/span><\/a><\/span>. Corporate venture capital has also been very active in the sector this year. In the third quarter, CVC deals in the mobile sector increased by 68% from the same period last year and by 39% from the previous quarter.The list of the most active VCs is headed by\u00a0Google ventures<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0Qualcomn ventures.<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Leading companies in the financing rounds<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Uber received one of the four financing rounds<\/strong> to startups, related to the world of telephony, the largest of $ 100M. The protagonists of this round were\u00a0Benchmark,\u00a0<\/span><\/a>Google Ventures<\/span><\/a><\/span>, y\u00a0TPG Capital\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/span>and the amount of this was $ 258M.<\/span><\/p>\n

While to date, the major financing rounds<\/strong> In the sector were related to telecommunications equipment and services, in 2013 there have been a large number of funding rounds to mobile software companies and apps, including Snapchat and Flipover, which raised $800M in a series C round.<\/span><\/p>\n
