Desde el 2012 el sector del \u00abhogar conectado\u00bb ha atra\u00eddo un total de $468M de inversi\u00f3n en 56 operaciones de financiaci\u00f3n. Venture capital<\/strong> has set its sights on this sector by participating in the development of new technologies.<\/span><\/p>\n

From smart locks to doorbells that allow access to wifi, numerous new technologies are emerging to make home connectivity possible. Since the emergence of the\u00a0internet of things using internet-connected sensors,<\/span><\/a>\u00a0startups are focused on developing services for your home from security devices, temperature management, light control and they are doing so by combining data collection with hardware, software, internet and, of course, devices.\u00a0mobile phones.<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Corporations: active investors in home networking<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

According to studies by\u00a0CBinsights<\/span><\/a><\/span>The North American home automation energy and security market is estimated to reach $2.5B in the next 5 years. It is likely that the battle we saw earlier in the year for\u00a0id8 Group R2 Studios\u00a0<\/span><\/a>will become more common and we may see corporations from different industries battling each other.<\/span><\/p>\n

Recently in the month of November 2013 several startups have closed down. financing rounds<\/strong> in A series, such as \u00a0August<\/span><\/span><\/a>,\u00a0SmartThings\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/span>and\u00a0Zonoff<\/span><\/span>.<\/a> But the significant increase in the total volume of investment has been driven by a handful of large deals such as the\u00a0Nest labs<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0of $80M from the hand of\u00a0Google venture\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/a>and\u00a0Venrock\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/span>in January 2013 or that of\u00a0Alarm.com<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0of $136M in June 2012.<\/span><\/p>\n
